The roar of a chainsaw filled Jomico's ears. He watched the tree fall, furiously. If only they hadn't found their home. They wouldn't have to be going through this. He let out an irate growl and padded away from the terrible scene. They couldn't stop the humans. They would have to leave.

Wolfette ran through the woods, avoiding the sound of chainsaws. She ran untill she ran into another wolf. "Oh, sorry about that," she barked looking at the wolf she had bumped into. The wolf was black with yellow eyes. "What's your name?" Wolfette barked, confused.

Jomico jumped and turned to the white wolf. He noticed she was female and that he shouldn't attack, maybe. "Jomico. You?" he replied, his eyes looking into her's.

"I-I'm Wolfette," barked Wolfette, "I THINK I know what your running from, the humans, am I right?"

Jomico groaned but nodded. "Well are you?" He pricked up his ears. Was that noise...? he thought, inquiringly. "Watch out!" he warned. A tree started to fall heading straight towards them.

Wolfette leaped out of the way of the falling tree, and at the last second grabbed Jomico and pulled him to safety. "Yes, I am running away from the humans," barked Wolfette, "and that is only half the reason!" She pointed her tail towards the fallen tree.

Jomico glanced at the tree and scowled. "Those humans....putting the whole forest in danger." he muttered. He then turned back to Wolfette. "What are you doing here on your own, anyway hmm?" he wanted to know.

"Well," replied Wolfette, "I don't really belong to any pack! A wolf doesn't always need a pack to survive!" She suddenly jumped with surprize because of a sound. "I wonder if the humans would like it if us forest animals tore down their homes and replaced them with trees," growled Wolfette.

Jomico nodded. "At least they would learn their lesson." he snapped, glaring back at the tree. "A lesson is what they need."

Wolfette answered, "I agree." She then heared a noise. She jumped with surprize, but then calmed down. "We should get out of here before we are all smashed by falling trees!" growled Wolfette, seeing a human nearby with a chain-saw.
